Since its inception in 1962, CEPT University has embraced photography as a vital visual language for understanding the built environment. Early students, created makeshift darkrooms, inspiring the founding of the SA Photography Club. By 1968, photography had a formal place in the curriculum, guided by educators such as Vikram Dalal and Navroze Contractor. Documenting villages, streets, and materials became central, shaping visual expression and research. Ways of Seeing is the exhibition at CEPT University that explores this evolution, celebrating the pioneering work of students and teachers. Featuring a participatory exhibition space, it highlights photography's ongoing role in design education and engagement with the environment.
